Up at 6 this morning for festival prep. Will be there about 9:45 in time for the 10 o’ clock cemetery tour.
Last night the event started off with an excellent fireworks display at 10 pm, from the culm bank so I hear. I obtained a good view from my west window. Today, areas of Market Street will be blocked off and some hunting will need to be done for a parking space close to the action. In about an hour, we’ll be hearing the church bells signaling the official start of the festival.
